2021 Academic Recruitment Notice of SIDC
The School of International Development Cooperation (SIDC) was founded in September of 2018, which is the first entity teaching and research school of international development and cooperation in China. We invite applicants in the field of international trade, finance, international relations, international business, world economy, and similar major in the coming year. Junior candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree by August 2021 and to display promising research capabilities. Senior candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and a strong research track record. Interviews will be conducted on-line at time advised.
The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Commerce, and is one of the first batch of universities to enter the national higher education "211 project" and the world "double first-class" key construction of academic disciplines. Since the 1980s, the UIBE has trained a large number of outstanding talents in foreign aid and international development cooperation. As president Xi Jinping pointed out, the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. Under such circumstances, SIDC was founded to cultivate talents for international development cooperation.
SIDC is dedicated to the comprehensive and systematic training of undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in international development cooperation, exploring the theory of international development cooperation with Chinese characteristics, acting as an external think tank for China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) and the Ministry of Commerce. SIDC integrates ideas and talents to link the government, academia, and industry.
SIDC offers a multidisciplinary environment for teaching and research in economics, foreign aids, international relations, and investment. Three departments ‘International Cooperation and Development Assistance’, ‘International Project Development and Management’, ‘International Investment and Financial Cooperation’ and a research centre ‘International Poverty Alleviation and Humanitarianism’ are established in SIDC.

CV, cover letter, two letters of reference and one research paper are required, teaching evaluations and transcripts are preferred.
