University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of education. It is the first batch of "211 Project" and the first batch of "double first-class" universities. The Ministry of education and the Ministry of Commerce jointly build universities.

The school of international development and cooperation of UIBE was established in July 2018 to build a high-quality academic team committing to research in the field of international development. The school is committed to supervising master- and doctoral-level students in international development.
