It is with immense enthusiasm and deep gratitude that we recount our participation in the historic First International Humanoid Robot Street Dance Invitational Tournament 2025, held under the visionary theme "Intelligence Gathers in Guangxi, Dancing into the Future."

Three students from School of International Development and Cooperation (SIDC) (SEHOU Kossiwavi Esther, 2024 Master; SESAY Mohamed Thaimu, 2024 Master; and Bianchi Lisa, 2025 Master) participated in this prestigious competition. As a delegation from the SIDC, attending this event in Nanning on December 27, 2025, was a privilege that offered us a front-row seat to a pivotal moment where technology, culture, and global strategy converged.

The tournament, masterfully organized by the Guangxi Big Data Development Bureau with co-organizers Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and Hangzhou Feikuo Technology Co., Ltd., was far more than a competition. It was a strategic initiative with profound implications. The arena brought together elite competitors from top-tier academic and corporate research labs. The diversity on display from hardware engineering and actuator precision to the AI algorithms governing "style" and performance was staggering. It was a live demonstration of "Smart Manufacturing in China" aimed at fostering "human-robot integration.
For us as students of International Development, the experience was profoundly illuminating. We witnessed how flagship events, backed by strategic government policy, act as catalysts for regional industrial upgrading and international collaboration. The robots' artistic prowess made abstract questions concrete. We discussed the future of intellectual property in AI-generated art, the economics of human-robot collaborative services, and the transformative impact on creative and entertainment industries.

The city's lush landscapes, clean and spacious avenues, and seamless integration of green spaces like People's Park and South Lake offered a model of harmonious urban development.Experiencing the distinctive architecture and flavors of the Zhuang culture enriched our understanding of China's diverse regional identities.

Participating to this landmark event was an honor that has left an indelible mark on our academic and personal perspectives. We witnessed the practical interplay of technology, policy, and global business strategy, bringing textbook concepts to vivid life. This experience underscores the critical importance of interdisciplinary awareness for the next generation of global leaders. We return not just as observers, but as ambassadors of a future being written today inspired, informed, and deeply grateful for the opportunity. We are eager to share this story of innovation and cultural beauty with our peers, hoping to inspire further interest in the intersections of technology and global affairs.
Our sincerest thanks go to the visionary organizers for their invitation and to SIDC and to our Professor SUN BIYANG for her unwavering support in providing such transformative experiences.
