Research Work

In recent years, China has expressed its intention to increase and strengthen ties with the countries of the global south to generate balanced and equitable world development with special emphasis on developing countries. It is for this reason that the Chinese government has implemented an ambitious investment plan to help reduce poverty, fight climate change, improve health and education systems, and develop vital infrastructure for the economic development of people and nations.

With the aim of generating sustainable development worldwide, China will allocate 1.5 trillion dollars in development projects within the initiative of south-south cooperation around the world. It is in this sense that I am currently very interested in determining the impact of international South-South cooperation and triangular cooperation between China and Latin America in the period 2023-2030. All of this is framed in China's commitment to contribute to the objectives of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

This research aims to demonstrate the importance of implementing South-South cooperation models for the sustainable development of the region. By conducting a comprehensive literature review, we will explore existing studies on similar cooperation initiatives, the economic impacts of such models, and the potential for sustainable development practices. Additionally, this study will critically analyze success stories from other countries and identify potential areas of future cooperation between China and Ecuador. Faithful research will also be conducted to obtain first-hand information on the impact of cooperation on people's lives.

This research also seeks to investigate the impact of triangular cooperation on the development of Ecuador. It aims to assess the economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection aspects of sustainable rural development. Specifically, the study will explore the economic benefits and ecological benefits derived from such cooperation. It also aims to understand how triangular collaboration has influenced the transfer and adaptation of technologies and knowledge between China and Ecuador, as well as its effects on the capacity and resilience of the Ecuadorian economy.

To achieve these objectives, the following research questions will guide this study:

1. What are the motivations and objectives of China, Ecuador, and Latin America in engaging in international south-south cooperation?

2. How does triangular cooperation contribute to sustainable development in Ecuador and L.A. regarding economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection?

3. What are the specific economic benefits derived from triangular cooperation?

4. What are the specific environmental benefits resulting from triangular cooperation?
