Research Interests

My PhD research thesis aims to study the dynamics of public policy formulation and implementation in Nepal for economic development, poverty reduction, and enhancing public trust of the government.

Research Work

As media personnel since the past two decades, and over 2000 print bylines, numerous radio reports in political reporting, I have seen how information shapes political discourses and policymaking.  As a journalist, I have focused on investigative reporting, news production, and multimedia storytelling. I specialise in feature writing, editing, communications, broadcasting, and radio. This has not only given me satisfaction, but also a sense of purpose. The purpose is to not only inform the public but also generate discussions on political accountability, transparency, and governance. This experience and my academic background in political science and journalism deepened my interest in understanding how evidence-based policymaking can address systemic issues. When I was  reporting on economic and political policy decision-making, political developments, and governance in Nepal, that honed my analytical capabilities and reinforced my commitment to promoting economic development, reducing poverty, and fostering more accountable governance.  I have previously worked as an Editor at Nepalkhabar online portal, I was an associate editor at online Khabar, Political Editor at Setopati, and Political Reporter at Kantipur Nepal’s widely read news media.
