Research Work

The research that I conduct focuses on decentralized cooperation, which refers to the active involvement of the subnational level of the State (provinces, municipalities, cities) in international cooperation activities with a broad spectrum of counterparts. Decentralized cooperation has gained importance over the years due to the remarkable contribution of locally based actors to achieving sustainable development. The research pursues an insightful analysis of decentralized cooperation practices in the Global South, with a strong emphasis on China’s approach, its results and lessons learned.
