Sustainable food security in Madagascar: Enhancing agricultural resource management and supply chain optimization through China-inspired technologies

Research Work

This research proposes a China-inspired framework to enhance Madagascar’s food security and economic resilience by optimizing agricultural resource management and supply chains. Drawing on China’s proven strategies, such as high-standard farmland construction, nitrogen efficiency improvements, and digital logistics platforms, the study aims to reduce post-harvest losses, boost crop yields, and cut food imports—thereby strengthening the Malagasy economy by promoting local production and reducing reliance on external markets. Key benefits include increased farmer incomes, enhanced food availability, and greater economic stability through scalable technology transfer and policy innovation. By integrating China’s sustainable practices with Madagascar’s agricultural constraints, the research offers a practical pathway to achieve long-term food security while fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency.
