5月14日，对外经济贸易大学第二十二届国际青年文化节开幕式在诚信楼前广场隆重举行，国际发展合作学院的众多国际学生积极投身其中，与中外青年共襄盛举。本届文化节围绕“立潮头·行天下/Lead the Tide, Embrace the World”主题，聚焦文明对话与青年成长，为中外青年搭建深化交流、携手发展的优质平台。

The opening ceremony of the 22nd International Youth Culture Festival of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) was grandly held in front of Chengxin Building on May 14th. A large number of international students from the School of International Development and Cooperation (SIDC) took an active part in the event, joining Chinese and foreign young people in this grand gathering. Centered on the theme of “Lead the Tide, Embrace the World”, this year’s festival focuses on civilizational dialogue and youth development, building a high-quality platform for Chinese and foreign youth to deepen exchanges and pursue common growth hand in hand.

国际发展合作学院高度重视此次文化节契机，积极组织学院国际学生深度参与活动。目前，学院共有来自42个国家的69名国际学生，生源覆盖非洲、亚洲、北美洲、南美洲、欧洲、大洋洲六大洲。在本次文化节中，学院留学生代表不仅在文化节活动中精心布置本国文化展台，通过传统服饰、手工艺品、特色美食展示多元文化魅力；还为全校师生献上富有民族风情的歌舞表演，赢得现场观众阵阵掌声。

Attaching great importance to this cultural festival, the School of International Development and Cooperation has actively encouraged its international students to engage deeply in the activities. At present, the school is home to 69 international students from 42 countries across six continents: Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Europe and Oceania. During the festival, international student representatives from SIDC elaborately set up national cultural booths, showcasing the charm of diverse cultures through traditional costumes, handicrafts and featured delicacies. They also presented ethnic song and dance performances for teachers and students, winning rounds of applause from the audience.

参与活动的留学生纷纷表示，国际青年文化节不仅让他们感受到世界文明的交融与共鸣，也加深了对中国文化和贸大校园的理解与热爱。国际发展合作学院将继续鼓励和支持留学生投身各类跨文化交流实践，助力培养兼具家国情怀与全球视野的高层次国际发展人才。

International students participating in the activity shared that the International Youth Culture Festival not only allowed them to experience the integration and resonance of world civilizations, but also deepened their understanding and affection for Chinese culture and the UIBE campus. The School of International Development and Cooperation will continue to encourage and support international students in participating in various cross‑cultural exchange practices, contributing to cultivating high‑level international development talents with both national commitment and global vision.

BISRAT, GOITOM TATEK：

Attending the 22nd Youth International Cultural Festival yesterday was truly inspiring. As a member of the School of International Development and Cooperation, I experienced how diverse cultures can unite through mutual respect and joyful exchange. The festival was not just a celebration. It was a powerful reminder that understanding each other's heritage is the first step toward global cooperation and lasting peace. I left feeling more connected, curious, and committed to building bridges across cultures.

昨天参加第二十二届国际青年文化节，我深受触动。作为国际发展合作学院的一员，我切身感受到多元文化在相互尊重、愉快交流中凝聚相融。这场文化节不仅是一场盛会，更有力地提醒着我们：理解彼此的文化底蕴，是开展全球合作、实现长久和平的第一步。活动结束后，我更加心怀联结、满怀好奇，也坚定了搭建跨文化沟通桥梁的信念。

NAMONDWE, AUDRIA：

Yesterday’s International Culture Festival was a truly memorable and enriching experience. The event beautifully showcased the diversity of cultures represented at our university through food, traditional clothing, music, drinks, handicrafts, and cultural performances from different countries. I especially enjoyed visiting the various booths and interacting with students who enthusiastically shared stories and traditions from their home countries. The festival created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged cultural exchange, friendship, and mutual understanding among students from different backgrounds.

My experience at the School of International Development and Cooperation has also been very rewarding. Studying in such an international environment has allowed me to broaden my perspective, appreciate cultural diversity, and build meaningful connections with people from around the world.

昨天的国际青年文化节，是一段令人难忘且收获满满的经历。本次活动通过各国特色美食、传统服饰、音乐、饮品、手工艺品及文艺展演，生动展现了我校多元的文化风采。我尤其喜欢走访各个文化展台，与同学们交流互动，他们热情分享着各自祖国的故事与民俗传统。文化节营造出热烈融洽的氛围，促进了不同背景学子间的文化交流、友谊缔结与相互理解。

在国际发展合作学院的学习生活同样让我受益匪浅。身处国际化的学习环境，我得以拓宽视野、感受文化多元之美，并与世界各地的伙伴建立起真挚深厚的情谊。

AL FARSI, AL ZUBAIR SAIF ABDULLAH：

My participation in the Cultural Day at UIBE was a wonderful experience. The event brought together 43 countries in a vibrant exchange of cultural expressions including costumes, food, arts, heritage, dance, singing, and handicrafts. The organization was exceptionally precise, from scheduling to stage performances featuring international students. It was truly one of the most successful cultural gatherings I have attended on any campus.

I represented Oman at our booth, showcasing traditional attire, coffee, sweets, and Omani cuisine. The interaction from Chinese students, professors, and Arab students was overwhelming, and the praise we received was very encouraging.

参与对外经济贸易大学此次文化节活动，于我而言是一段十分美好的经历。本次盛会汇聚了来自 43 个国家的学子，大家通过服饰、美食、艺术、民俗、歌舞、手工艺品等形式，开展了热烈鲜活的文化交流。从活动流程安排到留学生舞台表演，整场活动组织周密有序，堪称我参与过的校园文化盛会中最为成功的一次。

我代表阿曼参与了本国展台的展示，展出了阿曼传统服饰、特色咖啡、甜品及本土美食。中国学生、老师以及阿拉伯国家的同学们热情高涨地前来交流互动，收获的诸多赞许也给予了我莫大鼓舞。

RABIALAHY, HARIVOLA KANTOSOA：

Yesterday, I stepped into UIBE’s International Cultural Festival, where 70 countries wove a magical "World Tour" right on our campus. Exotic flavors, traditional games, handcrafted souvenirs and vivid folk performances turned every corner into a new destination, leaving me utterly amazed by the thoughtful organization and warm support from our university.

As a first-year PhD student who chose SIDC to pursue my international development dream, my journey here has far surpassed all my fondest hopes, gifting me far more than I ever dared to imagine. Beyond brilliantly designed courses building my expertise, field visits to China’s poverty alleviation sites let me witness firsthand how theory translates into tangible change, including technology’s transformative role. Every curated activity bridges classroom learning and real-world impact. Though barely a year in, I’m already deeply enchanted and eagerly awaiting the inspiring chapters that lie ahead.

昨天，我走进对外经济贸易大学国际青年文化节现场，70 个国家的文化在此交融，在校园内编织出一场奇妙的 “环球之旅”。异域风味美食、传统趣味游戏、特色手作纪念品以及生动鲜活的民俗表演，让校园的每一处角落都仿佛一处全新国度。学校细致周到的组织筹备与暖心保障，令我由衷赞叹。

作为一名选择国际发展合作学院、追寻国际发展理想的一年级博士生，我在这里的求学经历远超心中所有美好期许，收获之多，超乎想象。学院不仅设置了体系完善的专业课程，夯实我的专业能力；前往中国脱贫攻坚一线的实地调研，更让我亲眼见证理论如何落地为切实改变，真切体会到科技带来的变革力量。学院精心策划的各类活动，架起了课堂知识与现实实践的桥梁。入学虽尚不足一年，我已深深沉醉于此，满心期待未来更多精彩征程。

TESFAHUNEGN, GENET AREFE：

May 14, 2026 was the 22nd International Youth Cultural Festival at UIBE which was unforgettable day transformed into a small world filled with different culture, languages, music, food and dance from every corner of the globe. Walking across the campus I felt like traveling around the globe in a just a few steps.  As a student of International Development and Cooperation, the event reflected the true meaning of international cooperation because it creates an atmosphere of full connection.

And my country Ethiopia shared its rich history and traditions Particularly, live coffee ceremony, music, food and hospitality which created a moment of connection with the world. More than a cultural event, the festival became a touching reminder that humanity is strongest when the world comes together as one family and became a living example that true global harmony is created through cultural understanding. And I have a sincere gratitude to UIBE for its dedication in organizing such an unforgettable event.

2026 年 5 月 14 日，对外经济贸易大学第二十二届国际青年文化节圆满举办。这难忘的一天，让校园化作一方小小世界，汇聚了来自全球各地的多元文化、语言、音乐、美食与舞蹈。漫步校园之间，仿佛几步之内便可环游世界。作为国际发展合作学院的学子，我认为这场活动诠释了国际合作的真正内涵，营造出紧密联结、互通交融的氛围。

我的国家埃塞俄比亚也在此展示了悠久的历史与传统。现场的咖啡仪式、民族音乐、特色美食以及埃塞俄比亚式的热情待客之道，搭建起我们与世界沟通的桥梁。这场文化节早已超越一场文化活动本身，它真切地提醒着我们：当全世界如同一家人般团结一心，人类的力量才最为强大；同时也生动印证了，真正的全球和谐源于文化之间的相互理解。我由衷感谢对外经济贸易大学用心筹办这场令人难忘的盛会。

ADELA, LIDIYA TADESSE：

The UIBE Culture Festival on May 14 was a vibrant celebration of global unity and cultural diversity. As I walked through the booths, there are delicious traditional foods, lively music, and colorful cultural clothing from many different countries. It was truly inspiring to see students proudly and warmly share their heritage with others. As international students, cultural exchange is very important because it helps us understand, respect, and appreciate one another’s backgrounds and traditions. This festival beautifully demonstrated how diverse cultures can come together, learn from each other, and build mutual respect and friendship. Development is not only about policies and progress, but also about people coming together and creating meaningful relationships.

5 月 14 日举办的对外经济贸易大学文化节，是一场彰显全球团结、弘扬文化多元的活力盛会。漫步各个展台，各国特色传统美食、欢快的民族音乐、绚丽多彩的民族服饰尽收眼底。看到同学们自豪又热忱地分享本国文化底蕴，我深受触动。作为国际学生，文化交流意义重大，它让我们理解、尊重并欣赏彼此的成长背景与民俗传统。本次文化节生动展现了多元文化如何交融汇聚、互学互鉴，构筑起彼此尊重的深厚友谊。发展不仅关乎政策制定与社会进步，更在于人与人之间凝聚一心、缔结真挚情谊。

DE PORTUGAL CABA FERNANDO：

Since I arrived to UIBE I heard a lot of things about the cultural festival, but what I experienced last Thursday is something that I couldn't expect. This festival reminded me why I took the chance to come to China to complete the final stage of my student carreer. Walking around this festival is unavoidable to realize how big the world is, how different cultures can be, and how enriching is to create these kind of places to foster inter cultural dialogues, to share values and ideas.

来到对外经济贸易大学后，我便时常听闻国际青年文化节的精彩，但上周四亲身参与其中的体验，远超我的想象。这场盛会让我再次坚定了当初选择来到中国、完成学业最后阶段的初心。漫步文化节现场，我真切感受到世界的广阔、文化的多元，也深刻体会到，搭建这样的交流平台，促进跨文化对话、分享价值理念，是多么富有意义。
